Terms
Terms of use
These terms say what hideimage.com is and what it is not. They are written in plain language. They do not take away rights you have under the law where you live.

The service
hideimage.com is a free tool that runs in your web browser. You can blur, pixelate, or cover parts of an image and download a PNG. There is no account. Juan operates the site from Spain. You can reach him at juanmagnc@gmail.com.
Your images
Editing happens on your device. The site does not take a copy of the image in order to edit it. You are responsible for the files you choose to export and for where you send them afterward. If you still have the original, anyone you already shared it with still has it too. The export is a new picture of the pixels you see, not a promise that every copy in the world was altered.
You need the right to use the images you open in the editor. The tool does not give you rights to someone else’s photo, screenshot, or document.
Acceptable use
Use the site to hide information you are allowed to hide. Do not use it to break the law, to interfere with the site, or to pretend that a redacted image is an official record if it is not. Do not send unlawful or abusive email to the contact address.
The editor is manual. It will not find every face, name, or number for you. A blur that is too light can leave text readable. Check the exported PNG before you share it.
No warranty
The site is provided as is and as available. It may be interrupted, and a browser update may change how the canvas behaves. There is no warranty that a particular mode is appropriate for a legal, medical, or employment process. Those processes have their own rules. If you need a certified redaction, follow that process instead of treating this editor as the certification.
To the extent the law allows, Juan is not liable for decisions you make with an exported image, for data you choose to put in email, or for third-party scripts such as analytics or advertising. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights you have as a consumer in the EU.
Advertising
The site may show Google AdSense ads when a publisher ID is configured. Ads are not a fee for the editor. The privacy policy explains what that script does and what it does not do with your image.
Changes
These terms can be updated by changing this page and the date above. Continuing to use the site after that means you are using it under the updated text. If you do not agree, stop using the site. Questions go to the contact page.
