The editor does not upload your image. Other parts of the site, such as hosting, analytics, and advertising, are ordinary web requests and are described here.

Images are not uploaded for editing
When you drop, paste, or choose a picture, hideimage.com draws it on a canvas in your browser. Blur, pixelate, and black box run there. Export builds a new PNG in the browser and your browser downloads it. The site does not receive the file bytes, the pixel data, or an editing copy of the image. I cannot see the picture, and I cannot fetch it later.
The image stays in memory for that visit. Closing the tab drops it. The original file on your device is not modified. Do not email a sensitive original to the contact address; the editor never needed it to leave the machine.
No accounts
There is no sign-up. The editor does not ask for a name, a password, or a payment. I do not keep an account database of people who use the tool.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles the network request that delivers the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Like other hosts, it can log ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and the URL fetched. That log is about the page request, not about the contents of an image you edit locally. Cloudflare describes its handling in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics to count visits and editor events such as an export. That script can set cookies and receive standard browser data (pages viewed, rough device information, the events the editor sends). It does not receive your image. You can limit ad and measurement cookies from Google in Google’s ad settings, and browser controls can block the analytics script entirely.
Advertising and Google AdSense
hideimage.com may show ads from Google AdSense when a publisher ID is configured for the build. If that ID is not set, the ad script is not loaded. Showing ads does not mean Google has approved the site, and it does not change the editor: image files are still processed in your browser and are not sent to Google to be edited.
When ads are shown, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, measure them, and limit how often you see the same ad. Those technologies are Google’s, not part of the redaction canvas. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in How Google uses cookies in advertising. You can review ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Ad units are placed outside the editor canvas. They are not a condition of using the tool. An ad blocker that stops the AdSense script will also stop those units from loading.
Mail you send me
If you write to juanmagnc@gmail.com, I receive that message in my inbox and I keep it as email. Do not attach the sensitive image you were trying to hide. See the contact page for what the mailbox is for.
