hideimage.com is a free browser-based tool for blurring, pixelating, or redacting parts of images before sharing. It was built around a simple rule: your images should not have to leave your device.

How it works

Every step, from upload to download, uses your browser's built-in HTML5 Canvas API. No image data is sent to an editing server, and no third party sees the contents of your file.

When you click "Download image", the result is generated locally on your device. The original file is never modified.

Why we built it

Screenshots and photos often expose more than people expect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, internal URLs, account numbers, badges, or customer data. Most available tools either require uploads, charge money, or force a desktop install.

hideimage.com focuses on the opposite: instant editing, no account, and local processing by default.
